And whilst the Tigers struggled from the field in the 2nd half, the Spartans punished them and took the win 72-54 with a solid performance at both ends. Both teams are now 1-1.

Storm vs Oaks, the Storm proved too strong to remain 2-0 and early Div 1 leaders. Cedric Young grabbed 9 of his 14 points in the first Q, but it was L. Butler with 8 points who took MVP honours as he lead his team to a convincing 72-49 win.

On Thurs the Raiders went to the Suns in Div2 and it was the home team who came out the blocks 22-8 after 1, but the Raiders found their range and hit 4 threes in the second to close the gap to 34-25 at the break. Suns replied in the 3rd, but more hot shooting and 4 more from range kept the Raiders close, getting to wihtin 6, but ended 3 52-42 after 3. The 4th was all Suns as the Raiders dried up and Suns shot the lights out down the stretch with 3 from range of their own. 72-50 at the end.

Friday had the Seahawks head down the road to Bournemouth University, and after a close 1st quarter, it was the Uni by 1pt. They had made it 11pts by the half but Seahawks Coach Mills said "although the Seahawks played well, they were no match for the Uni, with some sharp shooting in the 2nd half, includeing 5 threes". It ended 91-53 to Uni, who go to 2-0, as the Seahawks drop to 0.333, 1-2.

7 fixtures next week, including Razors/Tigers on Monday, Oaks/Bandits looking to bounce back after losses. Donkeys/Suns in Div2 should be a good game, and Blackhawks/Evolution on the Sunday looks to be close.
